Time for a refresh. A classic Christmas project.
The previous year I had already started reworking the content — now it was time to add some technical improvements as well.
It was also a good opportunity to move everything onto a new foundation, after a script-based attack had compromised one of the Joomla update components. Fortunately 1&1 caught it in time.
The site should of course be responsive, and the content needed an overhaul too. Here’s what’s new — besides updated content:
The Sensebox is an Arduino-based kit for capturing environmental data with IoT sensors. More information can be found at https://sensebox.de. The recorded data can be visualised on a map or analysed in other ways.

The annual Chaos Communication Congress offers a fascinating mix of IT, politics and social topics. This year in particular had some great insights into security vulnerabilities in AI models, robots and critical IT infrastructure.
